Conway, AR IntelliTrans, LLC will hire up to 20 employees at a new location in Conway, according to officials at the company and at state and local economic development agencies. Headquartered in Atlanta, the company has already begun hiring some workers for the Conway location.
"Conway continues to attract knowledge-based companies," said Gov. Mike Huckabee. "IntelliTrans has an excellent reputation in the field of logistics management and software development. It's the kind of company we want in Arkansas."
IntelliTrans began in 1992 with an idea that has revolutionized supply chain management in the bulk commodity market, providing customers a single system to integrate their transportation and inventory needs. Its operational, analytical and telematic tools increase the productivity of its clients' operations and help reduce costs.
"IntelliTrans is extremely pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Conway," said Steve Jackson, chief operating officer of IntelliTrans, LLC. "The combination of a breadth and depth of personnel educated in the field of logistics, a strong work ethic, and a stable workforce made Conway a logical choice for expansion of our operations." |
IntelliTrans provides several services for shippers, including multi-modal fleet management, yard management and vendor-managed inventory programs. Other services are available for infrastructure operators, such as short-line railroads, repair shops, warehouses and transload facilities.
The Conway Development Corp. is pleased to have worked with IntelliTrans on their Conway development," said Bill Hegeman, CDC president. "We believe that the company will find a highly motivated, well-educated workforce to service their clients in our community."
"Congratulations to the people in Conway as they welcome this fine new company, and congratulations to IntelliTrans for making the right decision in the location of their new operation," said Larry Walther, director of the Arkansas Department of Economic Development. "I'm confident that the company will be very satisfied with their workforce and be successful here."
IntelliTrans is an excellent example of the type of company that Conway is strategically positioned to recruit," said Mayor Tab Townsell. "Our young, well-educated demographic should prove to offer the talent mix that will continue to make them successful in their business." |
