Illuminate

Illuminate - Conway, Arkansas

Visiting downtown Conway the Saturday after Thanksgiving is the newest holiday tradition in central Arkansas! Now in its second year, Illuminate will take place in Rogers Plaza around Conway’s 54-foot-tall Christmas tree. In addition to the tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Nov. 25, Illuminate will feature a Ferris wheel, mini-train rides for kids, live music, concessions, horse-drawn carriage rides, photo opportunities with an oversized snowman and gingerbread man, and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus!

A monthlong event, Illuminate attractions will be around throughout the holiday season. Illumniate is presented by American Management Corporation, Conway Regional Health System, Arvest Bank, Petit Jean Meats, TriTechne, and Miller Spectacular.

Ferris Wheel: $5 per person
Little Ferris Wheel: $2 per person

CONCESSIONS PRICING
Funnel Cake: $6
Funnel Cake with Topping: $7 (Each additional topping is $1. Toppings include apple, caramel, hot fudge, and strawberry.)
Fountain Drinks and Bottled Water: $2-$5
Coffee or Hot Chocolate: $1

Closed December 24-26. Last day of operation is December 30.

Regulation for large Ferris Wheel: No riders under 36 inches tall. Children between 36 and 48 inches must ride with an adult. No single riders allowed.

Downtown Conway Christmas Open House - Conway, Arkansas - Sunday, November 12

For nearly 50 years, downtown merchants have opened their doors on a Sunday afternoon in early November as the start to the holiday shopping season. Take advantage of the special hours and to be among the first to see the retailers’ holiday collections at the annual Downtown Christmas Open House.

Cookies with Santa

1-4 p.m.

UCA Downtown and UCA Outreach and Community Engagement invite families to stop downtown for cookie decorating and pictures with Santa on Sunday, November 12, from 1-4 p.m. at UCA Downtown (1104 Oak Street). Cookies with Santa is free and open to the public, and takes place during the Downtown Christmas Open House.

Conway Human Development Center Third Annual Polar Express

5-8 p.m.

Visit the Conway Human Development Center for the third annual Polar Express! This event is free and open to the public and features rides on a wheelchair-accessible train, ornament and cookie decorating, Christmas Bingo, and more. There is no cost to attend, but monetary donations or donations of new socks, blankets, beanies, gloves, and gently used coats are accepted and greatly appreciated. All money raised will benefit the residents of the CHDC.

Mistletoe Madness

All Day

Mistletoe Madness kicks off the 12 Days of Christmas Celebration that leads up to the final shopping craze before Christmas. Storewide holiday markdowns are the rule of the day! While you shop in Downtown Conway, enjoy the sights and sounds from street musicians and vendors from the Conway arts scene as well as concerts by the Conway Symphony Orchestra, local elementary schools, and area performers.
